"Great for wearing during the day"

The product

Blemishes and breakouts are seriously the worst, and they somehow know when you've got something important coming up. Like hello, can you be any more inconsiderate?

Thankfully, we're living in a world where a pimple popping up doesn't mean the day in ruined. We've been blessed with ever improving skin care formulations and a world of pimple patches to stand by us even in our bumpiest of moments.

The one thing that our blemish-covering patches can't do however is sit seamlessly in a crevice or cover multiple bumps at once. Fortunately, Bioré has clearly been listening to our thoughts, because their latest launch is the answer to every blemish concern we could think of.

Incredible coverage, tick. Skin-supporting ingredients, tick. Customisable, easy-to-use formula, tick. Invisible on the skin, tick tick tick. The product you ask? Bioré Paint & Peel Liquid Pimple Patch. Designed to be easily painted on, straight from the slanted tube, the clear gel formula dries down to be literally invisible. And the best part? No more pesky nose blemishes going uncovered, or multiple bumps in a row requiring a layering of patches.

The one per cent salicylic acid formula works to visibly reduce signs of redness and while also working to help unclog your pores at a deeper level.

Sounds pretty impressive, right? Our REVIEWcrew members think so too, here's what they had to say...

The panel

BEAUTYcrew sent the Bioré Paint & Peel Liquid Pimple Patch to a panel aged 18-35 with blemish-prone skin.

The lowdown

The convenient applicator: The REVIEWcrew members loved that this easy-to-apply gel came with a convenient applicator tip. Designed to be used as the metaphorical 'brush', the slanted tip makes it easy to apply to any canvas *ahem* we mean crevice. No need for rubbing in and getting your fingers sticky; the formula goes straight from the nozzle to your blemish.

The inclusion of skin-supporting ingredients: The one per cent salicylic acid formula meant that our members were loving seeing the skin-supporting results of the ingredient. Many raved about how quickly the formula reduced their visible redness with others noticing the 'bump' of the blemish lessening.

How customisable it is: Because of the convenient-to-use tip, our members appreciated the control they had over the size of the cover up. Unlike traditional pimple patches, the near-invisible formula can go on anywhere, so if you've got a patch of pimples causing you grief you can layer the gel on across the area rather than needing several pimple patches to do the job.

This is such a good concept. I love how the liquid eventually forms into a patch to protect and actively work on reducing a pimple. I've used pimple patches before but the Bioré Paint and Peel Liquid Pimple Patch is on a whole different level. As it happened, I had a breakout when I received this product to trial. It's a squeeze applicator tube and very easy to use. You apply a small amount of product and about 15 - 20mins later it dries to form a patch over the spot. I usually forgot about it pretty quickly too. They recommend a minimum of 4 hours with the patch on, but I usually applied before bed and slept with it on, then removed in the morning. I find this such a great find! I 100% noticed my pimples being more reduced and way less red than the night before. I'm waiting on my next breakout to use it again. I would recommend as it worked for me and I will be buying again once I run out.

I was really intrigued by the idea of a liquid pimple patch and had high hopes for this product. The paint-on formula is definitely unique and makes it easy to cover areas where regular patches don’t fit, like around the nose or jawline. Once applied, it dries down into a thin, clear layer that’s almost invisible, which is great for wearing during the day. The formula contains salicylic acid, so it does feel like it’s actively working on breakouts. After about 4 hours, I noticed some reduction in redness and irritation, though I wouldn’t say it clears a spot completely in that time. Peeling it off is oddly satisfying and doesn’t feel harsh on the skin. Overall, it’s a clever alternative to traditional pimple patches, especially for tricky areas or if you don’t like the look of stickers on your face. While it’s not a miracle cure, it does help calm spots and speed up healing with consistent use.

I often use pimple patch stickers, so was pretty excited to test this product. It comes in a cute and handy little tube and is so easy to paint on, like a liquid bandage. It dries quickly and becomes an invisible film that reduces redness and protects the blemish. And stops you from picking at it, which is one of my biggest vices! It was a lot less noticeable than regular pimple patches and holds up well under makeup. I think it helped to make my blemishes go away quicker - possibly due to both the salicylic acid and prevention of picking! Really great product and will definitely use again
