Dakota Johnson just wore a viral Aussie makeup brand at the Cannes Film Festival
Dakota Johnson is at the top of our ‘tastemaker’ list. She wears something, we buy it: that’s the general process.
However, as beauty editors who have been obsessed with glow-building brand Naked Sundays for some time now, imagine our delight (AKA cockiness) when Johnson herself decided to grace the Cannes Film Festival wearing some of our favourite picks.
Not to compliment ourselves whilst complimenting Johnson, but as we’ve always known, she’s clearly got immaculate taste. Let’s just say if you don’t already have these four products in your beauty bag, we’d advise grabbing them before they sell out…
Dakota Johnson Cannes makeup
"For tonight’s Kering dinner with Dakota, I wanted her skin to have a radiant glow and a soft flush to the cheek”, Johnson’s makeup artist Georgie Eisdell explained re: the plan for the makeup. “The inspiration for the overall look was drawn directly from her exquisite Gucci gown.”
“Naked Sundays products are gorgeous for a red carpet look”, Eisdell confirmed, going on to share the exact products behind the look…
Base
"For coverage, I used the BeautyScreen Mineral Peptide Foundation Tint in Shade #2 ($54.95 at Naked Sundays)”, Eisdell shared. “Its lightweight texture provided a sheer, even finish while enhancing the skin’s natural glow, allowing me to use minimal base product while still achieving a luminous complexion.”

Cheeks
"To bring subtle warmth and definition to the face, I applied the CabanaGlow™ SPF50 Mineral Glow Serum Drops in Bronze ($45 at Naked Sundays) along the jawline, cheekbones, and forehead”, Eisdell explained. “This added a soft, sun-kissed dimension. For the cheeks, I layered the SPF50 GlowBalm Mineral Peptide Stick in Dusty Rose Pink ($38 at Naked Sundays) to create a natural flush, then added a touch of [the same product in the shade] Pink Pop ($38 at Naked Sundays) on the apples of the cheeks for a fresh, vibrant finish.”

Lips
“I also used Dusty Pink ($38 at Naked Sundays) on the lips to tie the look together with a soft, monochromatic touch”, Eisdell noted. Chic! We're on our way to recreate…
