KATSEYE were upstaged by their nail artist at the VMAs
KATSEYE took home their first-ever moon man at the VMAs this week, taking out MTV's newcomer title 'Push Performance of the Year'. They also treated the audience to not one, but two performances of their hit singles 'Gnarly' and 'Gabriela'.
During the ceremony the Glossier ambassadors had a few outfit changes too, but their statement manicures were the through line of all their looks says Naomi Yasuda, the pop group's nail artist.
"It was a blast getting their nails ready for this moment using OPI’s Black Onyx ($12.97 from Chemist Warehouse) with a touch of crystal shine," she tells BEAUTYcrew. "My goal was to create a bold and glamorous nail look for the KATSEYE members for their VMA performance. Since they have several outfit changes, I chose to use black and crystals for the nails — I always try to make sure each girl's nails fit her personal style while keeping the whole group's look similar."
Ahead, the celebrity nail artist breaks down the VMAs nail looks of the six members of KATSEYE, including the products she used.

From their eyeliner, to their lip combinations, if there's one thing KATSEYE nails it's their makeup looks.
