Taylor Swift’s mirrorball manicure outshone her engagement ring, and that’s seriously saying something

Shining just for us

If there’s one thing Taylor Swift knows how to do, it’s create a beauty moment that sends the Internet into a spiral. And while fans were busy dissecting every detail of her latest courtside appearance, it wasn’t the sparkling diamond on that finger stealing the spotlight in our eyes. It was her dazzling mirrorball manicure.

Attending a New York Knicks basketball game alongside fiance Travis Kelce, Swift served up peak disco-glam energy with a set of ultra-reflective silver nails that practically shimmered under the arena lights.

The manicure featured a frosted finish with multidimensional glitter layered throughout, creating a sparkling effect reminiscent of the iconic mirrorball imagery from her Folklore era.

The look taps perfectly into the ongoing chrome nail obsession dominating beauty trends right now, but Swift’s take feels noticeably more, let’s just say it, fun. Rather than opting for the sleek glazed-donut finishes we’ve seen everywhere recently, her manicure leaned heavily into texture and sparkle, with a crushed-diamond effect that caught the light from every angle.

If you’re heading to the salon, you’ll be able to follow Swift’s sparkly suit by showing your trusty nail artist a quick screenshot. But if you prefer to paint your nails at home, here’s the recipe to try. Start with a fine glitter-spiked, chrome-y silver shade base, and then paint a chunkier silver glitter polish over the top to maximise on sparkle.

We recommend starting with the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Polish in 'Euphoric' ($7 at Chemist Warehouse), and topping it with a coat of the Essie Nail Polish in 'Set in Stones' ($11.89, usually $16.99 at Myer). Of course, to lock in any glittery look (and add extra sheen), you'll want to seal it with a top coat like the OPI Mirror Shine Top Coat ($22.36 at Adore Beauty).

Celebrity nail artist trends have increasingly moved toward statement metallics this season, with silver overtaking classic milky pinks and soft neutrals as the manicure shade of the moment. From chrome powders to reflective glitter gels, the futuristic finish has become the go-to for anyone wanting their nails to double as accessories.

But leave it to Swift to make the trend feel deeply personal. Between the sparkling manicure, her piecey texture and that signature red lip, the entire look felt like a masterclass in cool-girl glam.

We may not know when or where her wedding will be happening, but we’re kinda holding out hope that she opts for a bridal take on her signature sparkly mani.
