Beauty of Joseon has just landed at Chemist Warehouse

We're never going to financially recover from this

Beauty Crew Beauty Editor / May 29 2025

By now we're all well aware that Korean beauty products are the undisputed 'glass skin' champions in the world of skin care.

However, many of Korea's most beloved exports are still difficult to get your mitts on if you live in Australia, but all of that is starting to change.

Chemist Warehouse has just welcomed a second Korean skin care brand to their brightly coloured shelves — Beauty Of Joseon — which supplants the successful launch of SKIN1004 into the discount chemist in January.

This isn't the first time we've spotted Beauty of Joseon down under (it's also stocked at Priceline and Adore Beauty), but Chemist Warehouse has a reputation for always offering customers the best possible price, so we know we're going to get a good deal when we do stock up on the brand's best-sellers.

Just a word of warning you're unlikely to find the brand's viral sunscreens in any of the three Aussie retailers due to Australia's very strict regulations around SPF. But fingers crossed we'll be able to add it to a chaotic Chemist Warehouse shop in the not too distant future.

Haven't been formally introduced to the rest of Beauty Of Joseon's best-sellers? Keep scrolling to familiarise yourself with the best bits from the viral Korean skin care brand.

What are Beauty Of Joseon's most popular products?

1/ Beauty Of Joseon Dynasty Cream (usually $49, now $40.99 from Chemist Warehouse)

Love everything about Sulwhasoo's Essential Comfort Firming Cream ($159 from Sephora) except the price tag? Think of the Dynasty Cream as an affordable alternative. It pairs multi-tasking (read: moisturising, barrier-strengthening and complexion-improving) skin care ingredients like hyaluronic acid, squalane, ceramides and niacinamide with ingredients that are steeped in Korean tradition like rice bran water and ginseng root water. Resulting in a face cream that provides richly moisturising nourishment, while addressing the first signs of ageing.

Key features:

Infused with hyaluronic acid, squalane, ceramides, niacinamide, rice bran water and ginseng root water
Deeply moisturises skin
Brightens the complexion and smooths texture
Plumps skin and smooths fine lines

Available at:

2/ Beauty Of Joseon Revive Eye Serum: Ginseng + Retinal (usually $36, now $29.99 from Chemist Warehouse)

Got sensitive skin and jealous of all your friends who get to use retinol more than once a week? It might be time to switch to retinal, which is the active ingredient in the Revive Eye Serum. It's more potent than retinol, but it's also more stable and less likely to irritate your skin. Plus, when it's combined with soothing, antioxidant-rich botanical extracts like ginseng root extract, and glycerin, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid (like it is here) you can reap all of the anti-ageing benefits without having to stress that you're going to give your skin anxiety. Use it under your eyes to minimise the appearance of fine lines, dark circles, and puffiness, or apply it as a fine line spot treatment where you need it.

Key features:

Contains retinal liposomes, ginseng root extract, glycerin, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid
Target fine lines, dark circles, and puffiness
Retinal liposomes and ginseng extract address the first signs of ageing
Promotes firm, bright and youthful-looking skin
Boosts hydration
Doesn't irritate skin

Available at:

3/ Beauty Of Joseon Glow Deep Serum Rice + Arbutin (usually $36, now $29.99 from Chemist Warehouse)

As anyone who knows their way around an Inkey list will be able to tell you; finding a product that lists their active ingredient above 'water' is a bonafide rarity. That's the reason why the Glow Deep serum, which contains a whopping 68 per cent of rice bran water is so impressive at tackling a dull and uneven skin tone, and rough skin texture. But it's also surprisingly gentle on skin thanks to the inclusion of alpha arbutin, glycerin, niacinamide, panthenol and hydrolyzed jojoba esters, which help to soothe redness, and sensitive and breakout-prone skin.

Key features:

Contains rice bran water, alpha arbutin, glycerin, niacinamide, panthenol and hydrolyzed jojoba esters
Infused with 68 per cent rice bran water and two per cent alpha arbutin
Brightens and unifies the appearance of skin tone
Smooths unwanted skin texture
Reduces the appearance of dark spots
Soothes redness, and sensitive and breakout-prone skin

Available at:

4/ Beauty Of Joseon Glow Serum Propolis + Niacinamide (usually $36, now $29.00 from Chemist Warehouse)

Just like the aforementioned Glow Deep serum, the Glow serum is also a powerfully potent serum, but it utilises a combination of 60 per cent propolis and two per cent niacinamide to promote a brighter complexion. The best way to differentiate the two serums is by honing in on their purposes. Glow Deep addresses pigmentation and texture, while the Glow serum is anti-inflammatory and soothing, but it's also incredibly moisturising too.

Key features:

Contains propolis, niacinamide, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and turmeric, cocoa seed, tea tree, centella asiatica, neem flower and leaf extracts
Infused with 60 per cent propolis and two per cent niacinamide
Controls sebum production and minimise the appearance of breakouts and blackheads
Promotes a healthy, hydrated and bright complexion
Reduces the appearance of redness
Suitable for sensitive skin

Available at:

5/ Beauty Of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil (usually $42, now $34.99 from Chemist Warehouse)

Double cleansing with a cleansing oil is an essential beauty tip in our book, which is why we're big fans of the Ginseng Cleansing Oil. It utilises soybean oil and antioxidant-rich ginseng seed oil to gently dissolve makeup, dirt and impurities (a bare minimum when it comes to cleansing oils in our opinion), but then it also helps to unclog pores, conditions and smooths skin, and reinforces the skin's protective functions. As far as cleansing oils go, this one goes above and beyond.

Key features:

Infused with soybean oil and antioxidant-rich ginseng seed oil
Melts makeup, dirt and impurities
Micellar cleansing technology
Unclogs pores and removes excess sebum
Conditions, smooths and protects skin
Suitable for dull, dry and dehydrated skin

Available at:

6/ Beauty Of Joseon Ginseng Essence Water (usually $38, now $31.99 from Chemist Warehouse)

Unconvinced that essences actually do anything? It might be time to try the Ginseng Essence Water. It's infused with an onslaught of potent active ingredients — 80 per cent ginseng water, glycerin, niacinamide, panthenol, allantoin and fermented ginseng extracts, just to name a few — which deeply nourish and hydrate skin, improve barrier function, tone, texture and moisture retention.

Key features:

Enriched with 80 per cent ginseng water, glycerin, niacinamide, panthenol, allantoin and fermented ginseng extracts
Deeply hydrates and nourishes skin
Improves the appearance and feel of skin tone and texture
Improves moisture barrier function and moisture retention
