If a beauty editor wants it, it’s worth it

We cannot stress this enough: if you’re lucky enough to have a beauty editor in your social circle, you’ve won. Yes, this is technically a beauty editor typing this (humility is overrated, we prefer highlighter!), but seriously, nobody knows the beauty landscape like someone who spends every day of their life completely immersed in it. We get what’s good, we banish what’s bad, and we can guide you directly to what you need in your cart like, sooner than as soon as possible.
That’s what makes us such handy helpers when it comes to curating your own collection. We know how to decipher the good from the garbage, and most importantly, the ‘what’s not worth it’ from the ‘need it now’. And that’s what we’re bringing you with this monthly rundown of what’s in our personal carts – these are the beauty products that are actually worth the cash and beauty bag real estate they’ll demand. So much so that we ourselves are coveting them desperately. As we like to say, ‘if a beauty editor wants it, it’s worth it’. Humility strikes again, we know!
So whether it’s a long-awaited restock our beauty bags have been begging for, something we simply can’t stop thinking about, or a buy we’ve been using and loving more than anything else on our shelves, here are the 12 beauty products BEAUTYcrew’s editors have ‘cart eyes’ for this month…

Hermès Hermèsistible Infused Lip Oil

Aerin Mediterranean Honeysuckle Eau De Parfum

Rare Beauty Awaken Confidence Bouncy Body Cream
Hermès Hermèsistible Infused Lip Oil
From $89 at David Jones
“I’ve been living in lip oils so far this summer, and with this Hermès formula now gracing the ‘going to have to buy immediately’ section of my beauty wishlist, I don’t see that changing. And considering I’m struggling to single out a shade (‘Corail Bigarade’ was the dreamy orange-coral that initially drew my eye, but I’ve since decided I need them all), I’ll have quite a collection amassed by month’s end. They’re everything I love in a lip product: colourful, comfortable, and contained in packaging so pretty I’ll probably tote them around even once they’re empty. They’re also basically the most affordable entries into Hermès perfume around, considering the house’s perfumer Christine Nagel crated a unique scent for each shade (for example, ‘Beige Sapotille’ comes scented with sandalwood). See, I told you I (you) needed every colour! I (you) deserve it” — Delaney, BEAUTYcrew's Editor
Aerin Mediterranean Honeysuckle Eau De Parfum
From $225 at Adore Beauty
“If you ever see an ‘Aerin fragrance fan club’ account pop up on Instagram, congratulations, you found my Finsta. I’ve been a diehard for a decade now; call it a combo of the fact that collecting each fragrance’s jewel lid feels like collecting infinity stones and the small matter that the scents that lay beneath them are so expertly crafted you’ll struggle to spray anything else after trying one. Mediterranean Honeysuckle has become a ‘New Year’ scent of sorts of me – it tricks my brain into thinking I’m in holiday mode even when I’m back to digging through beauty products/rambling on about them here. The namesake honeysuckle is present for sure, but it’s the peppy grapefruit and creamy gardenia combo that I keep coming back for. The lid also reminds me of the ‘cerulean’ scene from The Devil Wears Prada so every spritz comes with a Meryl Streep/Miranda Priestly-inspired smirk. My current bottle is running low, so I’ll be restocking pronto (and plentifully) this month.”
Rare Beauty Awaken Confidence Bouncy Body Cream
From $62 at Sephora
“Call it a craving, but as soon as I read ‘pudding-like” as a description of this body cream’s texture, I knew I had no choice but to add it to my collection. The peachy, floral scent mixed in sounds like the ideal fresh-but-not-so-overpowering-it-takes-over-your-perfume aroma for a body cream, and anything busy talking up its ability to provide my skin with more ‘bounce’, brightness, and hydration is very welcome in my bathroom cabinet. I make ‘apply better quality body cream’ a resolution every year, and in 2025, I’m determined not to let myself give up. I’m also just a sucker for any new launch from Selena, so you can bet I’ll be grabbing a tub of this stuff within the week. Again: ‘pudding-like’ is a deal-sealer if I ever heard one.”

By Rosie Jane Rosie Eau De Parfum & By Rosie Jane Dylan Eau De Parfum
“I’m currently obsessed with these musky scents from By Rosie Jane. I packed 10ml testers of Rosie and Dylan on a recent holiday and subsequently ran out of perfume on the third day, because I was spritzing them far too liberally. Rosie is an ode to white musk with the ever so faintest whisper of rose oil. Dylan blends together soft musk, white amber and guaiac woods, and feels like a slightly more subtle, summer-friendly version of Le Labo’s Gaiac 10, which I also have in my personal fragrance collection, and is definitely better suited to the cooler months.”
Pat McGrath Labs Divine Blush Legendary Glow Colour Balm
From $50 at Sephora
“I started using this blush in the shade ‘Electric Bloom Glow’ ($50 from Sephora) in December. It’s a bright red, and truthfully not a colour I would usually reach for, but the way that the balmy-gel formula blends out is so unreal it’s become a fast favourite. I’m so enamoured with the way it looks that I’m already eyeing up the other shades in the range. I’m leaning towards the vibrant pink ‘Luscious Lotus’ ($50 from Sephora), which looks perfect for summer and spring, and the rosey-nude ‘Divine Rose’ ($50 from Sephora) for the cooler months. But let’s see just how restrained I can actually be when it comes time to select a shade to add to cart.”
Olaplex No. 9 Bond Protector Nourishing Hair Serum
From $50 at Sephora
“I just cut my hair into a scarily short bob and I was having a conniption trying to figure out how to style it myself when I stumbled upon a sample of this stuff floating around my bathroom cabinet. It’s lightweight enough that I feel comfortable layering it underneath one of the two leave-in conditioners I use religiously on hair wash days — Olaplex’s No.5 Leave-In™ Moisturize And Mend Leave-In Conditioner ($58 from Sephora) or Dyson’s Chitosan™ Pre-Style Cream Straight To Wavy Light Conditioning Cream ($89 from Dyson) — without my hair getting crunchy or greasy. I apply the serum and a leave-in conditioner to damp, towel-dried hair and let my strands air dry to enhance my natural texture, and once dry, my hair looks effortlessly tousled and bouncy for days after. I don’t have to worry about spritzing my roots with dry shampoo to reset my style in the mornings either. I’m hooked.”

Bangn Body Jumbo Firming Lotion

Dior Forever Skin Perfect Multi-Use Foundation Stick

Bangn Body Jumbo Firming Lotion
$96 from Bangn Body
“This body lotion deserves all the hype it gets. I’ve been using it on and off for years, but now that I’m pregnant I’ve been using it religiously on my entire body. It smells divine and makes my dry skin feel silky soft and deeply hydrated, as well working to help reduce stretch marks (much needed as I approach my third trimester!). I’m also obsessed with the Bangn Body Refresh and Renew Body Wash ($38 from Bangn Body), which gently exfoliates and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated, and helps any lotions or self-tanners appply like a dream (IYKYK). Body care has now become a daily ritual for me and something I look forward to rather than feeling like a chore.”
Dior Forever Skin Perfect Multi-Use Foundation Stick
$99 from Sephora
“I’ve seen this new release from Dior Beauty all over my FYP for the last few months, and I’ve decided it’s finally time to add her to my collection. The weightless formula delivers that ‘your skin but better’ look, which is perfect for days when I want to correct skin tone or texture without feeling like I’m wearing foundation. But it’s easily buildable for a more full-coverage option when I need it, with a flawless IRL filter finish. I also love a multi-use product, so the fact that this can be used as a foundation and a concealer, and has a skin care-infused formula is a huge win.”
Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm in ‘Iced Coffee’
$40 from MECCA
“Obsessed is an understatement when it comes to this lip balm. I’ve been a fan of the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balms for years now. The ‘Vanilla Beige’ variant ($40 at MECCA) was my go to – until the Iced Coffee flavour came along. The dreamy formula plumps, conditions and delivers hours of hydration to the lips, and tastes ah-mazing. If I had to choose just one lip product to keep in my bag, this would be it.”

Prada Entry Lip Set
$185 from David Jones
When it comes to Prada beauty, they fall firmly in the territory of IYKYK, ‘nuff said, right? But in case you’re not quite as online as we are, there’s some lore behind them and I’ve really, I’ve been dying to get my hands on these beautiful lip bullets. Especially the iconic, pH adapting Astral Pink shade (of ‘Please, Please, Please’ fame). But don’t worry I’m not buying a trio of lip products just for one. Because I’m seriously enticed by the soft matte, but effortless glide on application. Plus, the jojoba oil-rich formula has also graced Sabrina Carpenter’s lips too, so, if I work on my sultry singing voice I’m basically her, right?
Medik8 Sleep Glycolic
$78 from Adore Beauty
"I’ve decided, 2025 is my year to make some big choices about my skin. And aside from getting regular facials, I’m making the switch to focus on cosmeceutical active ingredients. Yep, it’s going to hit my bank account hard, but, when I wake up with seriously smooth skin it’ll all be worth it. My first change is going to be to this hard working overnight chemical exfoliant. Formulated to slough away the dead skin while you sleep, the time released AHAs (glycolic in this case) work in tandem with Korean clover extract and glycerin to leave your skin undeniably softer, and I just can’t wait to experience the results myself."
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
$115 from Myer
If I’m honest, I have absolutely no idea why it’s taken me this long to add this one to my shopping list. If you’ve watched a red carpet, you’ve seen this gloriously stunning coverage in action. Yep, the celebs (and their ultra-talented makeup artists) love this formula, and as beauty writers, we know that the glorious formula really does get a workout. Because who doesn’t want luminous skin? I sure as hell do! But my Roman Empire will be that my tipping point to finally trying this stunning formula (aside from its radiant coverage), was none other than Cooper Koch, yep, him. And if it looks that flawless on him then surely it’s my time to shine, literally.
