Elizabeth Banks calls this skin care step "the good stuff"
We've always related to Elizabeth Banks. Despite being one of Hollywood's brightest stars (in terms of both talent and visible glow), she's always seemed incredibly down to earth. And now we know this to be true: her need for night serum, a walking pad and a good book on tape just proved that like us, she's just a girl, you know? And yes, we mean that as the ultimate compliment.
Here's everything you need to know about Banks' go-to wind-down routine (and the night serum she relies on for her radiance)...

For Banks, a night serum is essential. “I got into serums after a conversation with my dermatologist, who was like, ‘You could do more than just moisturiser.’”, she explained in a conversation with ELLE. “Serums are when you get the good stuff, you know? Our skin does its best repair work at night. I tell my kids that’s when your body fixes itself, and when you grow. That’s true of our skin too.”
"I do the [No7] Future Renew Night Serum ($47.59, down from $67.99 at Priceline), that’s really silky, lovely, and yummy. It feels and works great. [It’s] formulated for overnight use [and really] makes the most of your beauty sleep. The other thing I’m most interested in is sleep. I really am trying my best to hydrate at night and get as much sleep as possible. Your skin always looks improved when it’s hydrated, after you’ve had a good night’s sleep.”
She's definitely onto something here; the serum is actually designed to work in sync with the skin's natural overnight repair cycle, when renewal activity is at its peak. A step that works hard while we get our (hopefully) eight hours in gets an A+ from us.

Elizabeth Banks' evening routine
“I like to puzzle and listen to books on tape. I love long walks", Banks told ELLE re: her evening rituals. "I’m really trying to get those steps in. Even after a long day, I’ll try and do a walk. I also have a walking pad in my trailer at work. On my breaks, I just walk.”
Elizabeth Banks' favourite tools & treatments
"I got into facials more, I do crazy things now", Banks joked. "I put my face in ice most mornings to take down inflammation. I like to gua sha and move things around. As you get older, things start to fall apart faster, and you really do have to pay closer attention. It’s made me more mindful."
What we're mindful of right now is the need to stock up on Banks' signature night serum. We figure with a bottle of the No7 Future Renew Night Serum ($47.59, down from $67.99 at Priceline) on our side (and our bedside tables), we'll be as glowy as her in no time.
