TikTokers are using this $22 Chemist Warehouse find as a spot treatment

It's time to retire that old tube of toothpaste

Ever experienced the occasional bout of breakouts, or dealt with uneven tone, texture, and blemishes?

If so, you’re probably sick of hearing unsolicited advice from all angles, but as it turns out, so is BeautyTok.

Pimple-prone content creators have been ditching drying benzoyl peroxide and toothpaste as spot treatments for a far more hydrating and calming option.

The best part? You probably already have this affordable beauty buy stashed in your bathroom cabinet — La Roche-Posay's Cicaplast Baume B5+ ($21.99 from Chemist Warehouse).

@imhannahcho for my acne prone skin.. @larocheposayus cicaplast baume b5 is a lifesaver 😩🤌🏻 #acne #acneproneskin #skincare #skinbarrier #skintok ♬ It's Corn - Tariq & The Gregory Brothers & Recess Therapy

Thanks to this cocktail of hydrating and soothing ingredients, Baume B5+ can be used as a face moisturiser by those with dry and sensitive skin, or as a spot treatment on particularly dry areas of skin anywhere on the body.

Alternatively, it can be used as a rinse-off moisturising face mask on all skin types by applying a thick layer for about 20 minutes.

@mirjana_pavlovic I do this at night 1-2x a week This might not be for everyone - but this makes my skin glow the next day and helps control my blemishes! La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+ reviews

Content creators aren't the only ones extolling the benefits of the multipurpose product, our Review Crew members have awarded the affordable La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+ a four and a half star rating, and a number of glowing reviews.

I have been loving this balm, to me it is more like a nourishing moisturising cream as it isn’t greasy like a balm can be. White in colour and light in scent the balms thickness is light to medium, it spreads out really well. I have been using it on my lips, hands and feet a couple of times a day and my lips specifically feel very soft and nourished. I really enjoy massaging this into my dry areas before bed at night time and let it do its magic for me to wake up with well nourished and hydrated skin. This is definitely a holy grail beauty product for me.

I have acne-prone, oily skin, so was a bit hesitant about the shea butter in it. But I was pleasantly surprised. It’s an amazing product! It’s thick, hydrating and nourishing. It makes my skin feel sooo supple and soft. I use it morning and night.

A little bit goes a very long way so it is great for travelling as it can be used as a moisturiser for all over and the little tube lasts for months. It also works wonders on skin that has been dried out from air-conditioning such as on long haul flights. This cream will definitely become a staple in my travel bag.
