Zola Ganzorigt's nail art was the it-girl accessory at Coachella

These are her top tips for an on-trend manicure
Zola Ganzorigt is the brilliant mind behind some of the best (and not to mention the most viral) nail trends of the last five years, and it's something she and her celebrity clients love to collaborate on.
"If you do really crazy or complicated nails, it's really hard for people to copy it and then recreate it. So the nails that we do are really easy, and then anyone can copy and redo it," Ganzorigt explained to Teen Vogue. "So I think that's a really important part."
"We love it. It's kind of like a mission accomplished because it's like we want to inspire other people by doing things and when people love it and then do it, and then it makes us so happy, and then we always talk about it, 'Oh my God, we had no idea that it went viral'," she went on to say.
So naturally, the nail artist employed similar tactics when it came to creating memorable manicures for all of her A-list clients who attended and performed at Coachella over the last two weeks.
We spotted Hailey Bieber wearing her go-to glazed donut nails, and Vanessa Hudgens co-signed the trend too. Jennie Kim hit the stage with a cherry wine manicure to match her monochromatic burgundy ensemble. And although Kylie Jenner and Ariana Greenblatt opted for more adventurous nail art by comparison, that doesn't mean the basic foundations of their manicures weren't simple enough.
Ahead, discover the celebrity nail artist's top tips for recreating the trendiest nail looks at Coachella.

1/ Nail art is nothing without proper nail care
Despite the adventurous sensibilities of her clientele, Ganzorigt has always maintained that moisturising, nail care and feet care are fundamental for a polished manicure.
"Every single person needs a nail file, a cuticle nipper, and then cuticle oil," she shared with Nylon. CND’s cuticle oil ($33.97 from Amazon Australia) is my favourite one and Tweezerman's tools ($34.55 from Amazon Australia) are really good."
2/ You can't go wrong with chrome
Unsurprisingly, the brains behind Hailey Bieber's viral glazed donut manicure is a big lover of chrome nail art. Personally, we love that it's a simple and affordable option for those who are new to nail art and stepping outide their comfort zone.
"Chrome nails are always popular no matter the season or year," Ganzorigt told Glamour. "The colour underneath the chrome just changes and it stays on everyone’s inspo board."
Case in point? Ganzorigt created a natural manicure with a chrome top for Vanessa Hudgens (AKA the Queen of Coachella) and chrome star nail art for Kylie Jenner for this year's festival.
3/ Cat eye nail polish is always cool
If you peeped Hailey Bieber's cinnamon roll nails last year, then you've probably already clued on to the fact that her nail artist has fallen in love with the cat eye nail trend.
"I think everyone is experimenting with their nails a lot lately, so I think it's going to be all over the place," Ganzorigt shared with Teen Vogue last year. "But for me, I'm liking the magnetic nails a lot, so I'm really doing it. Probably, that will be big."
"I recently did it on Hailey, and she really loved it. We did the brown colour, so it was cool," she explained.
"It’s risen so much in popularity since there’s now a variety of options to choose from for the design," Ganzorigt told Glamour more recently.
4/ A bold dark red manicure can be a safe choice
If you're the type of person who's nail polish vocab is limited to neutral shades only, dipping your toes into the world of nail art and trends is easy enough with a bold dark red manicure.
The trend made our list of 2025 nail trend predictions, our autumn/winter nail trends, as well as Ganzorigt's. The nail artist selected a cherry wine shade of polish to tie in with Jennie Kim's on-stage burgundy glam cowgirl ensemble the first weekend of Coachella.
It's not the first time we've spotted the shade on Ganzorigt's Instagram feed either — she created a similar look for Ariana Greenblatt by mixing two coats of OPI's Complimentary Wine ($11.95 from S+S) and one coat of OPI's Big Apple Red ($18.99 from Chemist Warehouse).

Can't give up your neutral nail wardrobe? This is how to choose nude nail polishes for your skin tone, according to Ganzorigt.
